POWERWOOD CANADA CORPORATION

THE LEADING EDGE IN RENEWABLE ENERGY PRODUCTION

INTRODUCING POWER WOOD ENERGY

Powerwood Canada Corporation (PWC) is a renewable biomass power generation company operating in Canada. In line with the global shift towards renewables, Powerwood Canada Corporation has developed an alternative solution that is a direct substitute to coal - "black pellets". PWC is a subsidiary of a UK holding  company Coalternative Energy.

Black pellets is the generic name for a range of thermally-treated biofuel pellets intended for substitution of fossil-origin maternal in heat and power production.

PWC plans to build a 45-50 tons an hour capacity Biofuel production plant in Peace River, Mackenzie County generating 360,000 tons of pellets per annum. The entire output from the proposed plant is pre-sold on a long term off-take agreement with a floor price based on circa $17 per gigajoule relating to circa $340 per ton of output. The off taker is an international investment grade energy company.

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

There are two opposing driving forces in the 1st century of the 3rd Millennium:

• An awareness that CLIMATE CHANGE is the millennial generation ́s, indeed the world‘s major concern

• Opposed by the indisputable fact that Energy is the key to economic growth throughout the developing economies and s in itself the solution to many problems of the world

However, at the same time the very production of energy is a synonym for almost all factors that are impacting and driving climate change.

LIFE CYCLE EMISSIONS C02

An independent Life Cycle Assessment report has assessed and estimated the while live cycle carbon emissions associated with the production of black pellets at our Peace River bio fuel plant in Mackenzie County, Canada to be 68,995 tons per annum.
